The Caribbean owes its name to the Europeans who discovered this part of the world. The Arawak Indians called it "cariba". During bad weather, a caravel overturned. It contained spices, aromatic herbs, salt and sugar ... All these ingredients were mixed, creating the salt that is now called Caribbean Salt.
